Charlie and his two other brothers, JP and Matt have just returned from Paris (Aug-01). It was quite an adventure for them, as they went on their own.

No, they didn't drive the Camden Bus there, they caught the Eurostar. How they survived will always be a mistery. The video footage they brought back is priceless. 'Had us crying with laughter.

They had a brilliant time and I guess this will be the first of many international threesomes. Hopefully, it won't be long before Tom is old enough to join them and be the fourth musketeer.
Poor old Tom fell off the climbing frame. He cried for an hour as we rushed him off to hospital. He'd broken his elbow and now has a plastercast. He's a brave little chap, he hasn't complained since, and yet it must be very uncomfortable. We have to be gentle with him when we pick him up and Tom will remind us with
"Be careful - my arm..."

There may be a slim chance that someone may be reading this who hasn't already heard that Charles is working on a new digital map for

It's a detailed and colourful 3D map of Camden Town based on ordnance survey data showing every individual house. It will cost over £20,000 when it's finally finished but it'll be unique and worth every penny.

At the moment he's pulling his hair out over problems with copyright - as you can see, he's pulled out most of it.
Relatives from all over the world came to visit Tom last month (July-01). What a wonderful month it was. We've never seen him so happy.

First his Aunty Jacky and two cousins, Niall and Alice, came over from New Zealand. Tom was delighted to discover that these two kids are absolutely mad and spent most of his time climbing and throwing himself on them. It didn't take him long to work out that Kiwi fun had far more appeal than being boringly British.
Then from darkest Africa came Tom's Great Uncle Jim preceded by his daughter Julie and her husband and kids Glenn, Scott and Roy. Now if Tom needed anything more to reinforce his belief that all the fun people live abroad, this was it.

It was a wonderful occasion for us all. Cousin Kate brought them down from the Midlands and we had two whole days of site-seeing. The sun was shining and the streets were less crowded as many Londoners were on holiday. We whizzed through queues and got to see all the major sites. We even videoed the crown jewels.

Jim's visit was a more relaxed affair. He's too familiar with London to do the major sites. He thoroughly enjoyed his eight mile stroll to Westminster with Karen. They walked from Camden Town along Regent's Canal to Maida Vale and back through Regent's Park to Primrose Hill  (occasionally stopping to find a second-hand book shop).
Now if anyone is wondering what we are going to do now that all our relatives have gone, well the answer is, not a lot. Life at 11, Jeffreys Street will just go on as normal.

Charlie has gone to Southampton for the weekend to see his girlfiend, Emma.

Karen will be playing tennis at any given opportunity.

Charles will be trying to find more people to bore with news about his digital map of Camden Town.
As for Tom, he'll be somewhere in the garden (probably the sandpit) doing Tom things.
