After 16 months of converting the attic of our Welsh cottage, we've now finished. As it was such a confined space, most workman were under 4' tall (and below 10 years of age). The only tricky job we got a grown-up to do was to install a window. It's given us some nice memories of Tom cutting the openning for the hatch and carrying each floorboard to pass up to the loft. Also Felix and Elliot who managed to put more paint on themselves than the walls and all our friendly neighbours who'd stick their heads through the hatch to offer words of encouragement. Now we'll have more fun just playing games on rainy days.
